Home Again

Following a week of adventure, I am finally home again. Like I said before, there is just something so great about coming back home after being gone for a while. It makes me so grateful for the things I have. Sharing a one room RV with six people makes me very grateful to have my own room to come home to.

If I come off like I am complaining, I actually feel quite the opposite. I had so much fun this past week. Staying on roller coasters until midnight, fishing the White River, and cliff diving at Table Rock Lake were just a few of the things I got to experience. On top of those things, I got to experience new towns and places with my closest friends.

As for the blog, I have quite a few things coming up. With my travel diary over for a little while, I am trying to mentally prepare myself for the start of school again. Tomorrow morning is my first, official volleyball practice with the whole team. Although I am a little nervous, I am excited. In order to have a great year, one must have a great attitude.

For those who know me, you know this is my second time around at this school, and I have learned many things from my first experience. I am ready to go into this year being myself and only myself. I am not willing to submit to be someone that somebody else wants me to be. I am ready to be confident (although not boastful) in myself and my actions. I am ready to have a great year.

This is a little bit random, but as I was writing this post, a verse played over the radio that is one of my favorites. I have decided to live it out this week, anyone care to join me?
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Let us all give thanks all the time because without Him, none of this would be possible.

I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and is ready for a great week!

  1. Grace, I have never blogged before so i hope this is right.Shell helped me find you last night.
Even though I am an old lady now, I remember going back to school after summer break, especially in Junior High and High School. And, prep school must be even more stressful with all you high achievers. I am going to be praying for you each morning for wisdom and courage. When Jesus was on earth he faced adversity every day. That is why he kept running off to meet with his father. Keep your armor up this week and keep running off to meet with your King. I find he cares about everything I do. Love you, keep writing.
