On My Desk

My desk is more than likely my favorite place in the house. I love spreading out my papers, journals, and books while I work. For my birthday, my dad got me this beautiful glass desk while I was out of town. When I came home, I was surprised with not only a clean, rearranged room but also a room with a new focal point. I spend all my time writing, thinking, and blogging at it. So I thought, why not share the few necessitates on my workspace?

--2 silver and black lamps - always need light for reading!

--Vintage camera piggy bank (Z Gallery, Dallas) - no it does not have money in it, but I do love it as a decoration to show my love for photography.

--My 2 journals - these two books are always with me in order to capture any ideas at any time.

--Favorite style books - Style (Lauren Conrad), Style A to ZOE (Rachel Zoe), and Beauty (Lauren Conrad) are my absolute favorite fashion and beauty books. They have taught me the majority of what I know.

--"H" mug (Anthropology) - just a little cup filled with pens, pencils, and all the necessities.

--Jumbo planner (Lilly Pulitzer) - you have to stay organized somehow. 

--Owl vase (local, vintage shop) - although slightly creepy, it adds a nice vintage touch to the modern, glass desk.

--Mac - yes, I am an Apple lover.

--Lots of cords - with a glass desk, nothing is ever really hidden..

Staying organized may be a struggle, but it helps so much! A cleaner room helps with a simpler lifestyle. Use your energy on things that really matter!
